Discover These Iconic Collabs in Beijing
One of the things we love about living in Beijing is the constant stream of interesting collaborations between different brands. As the new year begins, we've handpicked some of the most intriguing partnerships that have caught our attention.
Tastien Goes Rock'n'Roll with Second Hand Rose
Imagine this: Tastien Chinese Burger, the quirky brand straight out of Fuzhou, that landed in Beijing last August, swings into a duet with Second Hand Rose, the band that belts out rock’n’roll with a Dongbei flair. And voilà, they've served up a distinct burger called 酸菜烤肉猪肉汉堡 suāncài kǎoròu zhūròu hànbǎo that's rocking a Northeastern twist. Think crispy roasted pork tucked with tangy Northeastern pickles, all wrapped up in a package adorned with flashy floral patterns that shout Dongbei pride. Plus, Tastien is also handing out some specialty merch with select combos, like themed stickers and a tote bag, the latter of which is only available to dine-in customers.
Jing-A Brews Up a Beijing Original
Jing-A's got a knack for brewing up something out of the box, and they haven't disappointed with their latest roll-out in partnership with 新京熹 Xīn Jīng Xī, the hotspot for Beijing-style mutton hotpot. Meet the 'Imperial Stout' — a bold, er'baijiang (sesame and peanut) infused beer. This malty masterpiece, inspired by the iconic Beijing hot pot dipping sauce, weaves together a tapestry of flavors, from dark chocolate notes to a hint of smokiness, all culminating in a sesame-peanut punch that's perfect for those chilly Beijing winters.
Hey Tea X Zanmang Loopy's Berry Bash
Hey Tea has paired up with Zanmang Loopy, the loveable character from Pororo the Little Penguin, giving us the ultimate berry pick-me-up. With Loopy memes capturing hearts, they're pouring a burst of berry into a pink cup that's as adorable as Loopy herself. Sourced from the vibrant roselle in Wuding, Yunnan province, and blended with a symphony of seasonal berries — blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries — it's a cup of whimsy bound to delight.
A Cherry Deal with Tims X Sponge Bob
And for a quirky twist, Tim Hortons has dived into a quirky partnership with none other than SpongeBob SquarePants. Dive into their cherry-flavored Americano or zesty cherry-flavored lemon tea, toss in any snack from their menu via Meituan or Eleme, and bam — snag yourself some Sponge Bob-themed stickers and even a themed bag. As if the cherry drinks weren't enough of a lure!
